This initiative was founded by Margaret Kamara, a passionate advocate for rural development and food security in Sierra Leone. With deep roots in the community and a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, Margaret Kamara has dedicated her efforts to empowering local farmers, improving livelihoods, and ensuring that no family goes hungry.

Driven by a vision of self-sufficient rural communities, she  combines grassroots experience with innovative solutions to tackle food insecurity from the ground up. This mission is more than a project—it’s a lifelong calling to uplift Sierra Leone’s rural heartlands.

The volunteers and staff of Moyoisah GreenGrow Initiative are the driving force behind the organization’s mission to promote sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and food security. United by a shared commitment to service, they work tirelessly to uplift communities, empower farmers, and protect natural resources.

Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, bringing passion, skills, and local knowledge to every project. From hands-on farming activities and tree planting to community outreach and training programs, they give their time selflessly to ensure that vulnerable populations have access to nutritious food and sustainable livelihoods. Their dedication strengthens community ownership and inspires collective action.

The staff provide leadership, coordination, and technical expertise that turn vision into impact. They design and manage programs, build partnerships, and ensure accountability and transparency in all operations. With professionalism and compassion, the staff support volunteers and beneficiaries alike, fostering an inclusive and results-driven work environment.

At Moyoisah GreenGrow Initiative, our partners play a vital role in advancing our mission to promote sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and food security. We believe meaningful and lasting impact is achieved through collaboration, shared values, and collective action.
